Interstates
FDOT's District Two - Jacksonville Interstates

TSNA-TI provides routine and preventive maintenance on 956 lane miles of interstate in the Jacksonville area. TSNA-TI is responsible for routine maintenance activities associated with roadway, structures, drainage, roadside, vegetation and aesthetics, traffic services, and incident response.
TSNA-TI provides comprehensive operations and maintenance services on I-95, I-295, and I-10 in Clay, Duval, and Nassau Counties. TSNA-TI maintains more than 1,000 lane miles of I-95 as part of its asset maintenance projects in Florida.
FDOT's District Five - I-95 Space Coast

TSNA-TI provides routine and preventive maintenance on roadways and facilities along I-95 in Volusia, Flagler, Brevard and Indian River Counties, as well as sections of S.R. 401, 407 and 528.
Project assets that TSNA-TI maintains for the Florida DOT include: 188 centerline miles, three rest areas and two weigh stations.
TSNA-TI is responsible for the repair or replacement of infrastructure assets within the corridor damaged by accident or weather, as well as traffic management and emergency response. TSNA-TI also manages bridge inspection, the permit process and compliance services along these corridors.
FDOT's District Seven - Tampa (Hillsborough and Pinellas Counties)
TSNA-TI provides routine and preventive maintenance and operations on roadways throughout the Florida District Seven’s Hillsborough and Pinellas Counties, located along Florida’s Gulf Coast.
This project includes 498 lane miles of interstate highways primarily in an urban environment, passing through industrial, commercial and residential neighborhoods. The interstates within the project range from 4 to 6 lanes and incur high average daily traffic volume. The region is filled with attractions that impact traffic flow, volume and incident response occurrences, including Tampa Stadium, Tropicana Stadium, Busch Gardens and NY Yankee Spring Training Camp.
TSNA-TI’s responsibilities include traffic management, roadway maintenance, vegetation and aesthetics, traffic services, roadside maintenance, drainage and emergency and incident response. Also included in the contract are weigh station management and oversight of the Adopt-A-Highway Program.
NCDOT Charlotte Area Interstates

TSNA-TI was awarded an interstate maintenance contract for I-85, I-77, I-277, and I-485. The project area covers approximately 135 centerline miles of interstate highways in Mecklenburg and Cabarrus Counties in the Charlotte metropolitan area.
TSNA-TI provides routine and preventive maintenance and repair activities associated with roadways; roadside; drainage; structures, including signs and bridges; vegetation and aesthetics, including mowing, litter removal, and brush and tree control; traffic services; and emergency response.
The contract is TSNA-TI's first highway maintenance contract in North Carolina.
Pocahontas Parkway (Route 895)

TSNA-TI won our first public-private partnership project as a member of the Transurban acquisition team for the Pocahontas Parkway in Richmond, VA.
The Pocahontas Parkway (Route 895) is a hybrid cash/electronic toll road southeast of Richmond, VA that opened in 2002. This 8.8-mile highway connects the Chippenham Parkway at I-95 in Chesterfield County with I-295 in eastern Henrico County. The Parkway features a high-rise bridge over the James River, provides the only crossing of the James River for six miles in either direction, and facilitates access to Richmond International Airport.
TSNA-TI provides fence-to-fence routine and preventive maintenance on the four-lane divided highway’s roadway assets including landscaping, snow and ice control, pavement management services for long-term pavement performance, and bridge inspection services. Toll booth and plaza lighting and toll plaza electronic signage are also included.
In addition, TSNA-TI maintains and operates the Operations and Administrative Centers at the main toll plaza. TSNA-TI responsibilities include all interior and exterior maintenance, HVAC, electrical, lighting and power systems, plumbing, sewage, drainage, and water/wastewater treatments including monitoring and testing. TSNA-TI also inspects and maintains fire suppression and precaution systems, security systems and emergency power supply systems.
VDOT - TAMS North, Richmond District Interstates

On this Turnkey Asset Maintenance (TAMS) project, TSNA-TI is responsible for the operations and management of I-95, I-295, I-64, SR#288, I-195, SR#195, SR#76, SR#150 and SR#146 through the counties of Chesterfield, Henrico, Goochland and Powhattan, and the cities of Richmond and Colonial Heights. The outcomes-based asset management project encompasses 1,080 lane miles of interstate highways, which are maintained under a variety of weather and traffic conditions. The work includes routine and preventive maintenance. TSNA-TI performs the full range of maintenance services, including snow removal and emergency response, required to meet the established performance standards.
VDOT - TAMS South, I-95 and I-85

On this Turnkey Asset Maintenance (TAMS) project, TSNA-TI is responsible for the operations and management of I-85, I-95 and I-295 through the counties of Greenville, Mecklenburg and Prince George. The outcomes-based asset management project encompasses 632 lane miles of interstate highways, which are maintained under a variety of weather and traffic conditions. The work includes routine and preventive maintenance. TSNA-TI performs the full range of maintenance services, including snow removal and emergency response, required to meet the established performance standards.

Toll Roads and HOT Lanes
Florida's Turnpike Northern Mainline

TSNA-TI currently has a seven-year contract with the Florida’s Turnpike Enterprise (FTE) maintaining and operating 650 lane miles of the Turnpike Mainline, Seminole Expressway, Beeline Expressway, East West Expressway, Southern Connector and Western Beltway.
Operating as an affiliate of the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), FTE is responsible for all operations on every FDOT owned and operated toll road and bridge.
TSNA-TI is under contract for fence to fence maintenance and operations including roadway maintenance, traffic services, vegetation/aesthetics/turf management, drainage, roadside maintenance, asphalt repair, signage and lighting.
Florida's Turnpike West
TSNA-TI is contracted with Florida’s Turnpike Enterprise (FTE) to maintain and operate 344 lane miles of Florida’s Turnpike in the Tampa area.
Operating as an affiliate of the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), FTE is responsible for all operations on every FDOT owned and operated toll road and bridge.
TSNA-TI is responsible for fence-to-fence maintenance and operations on the Suncoast Parkway, Veterans Expressway, and Polk Parkway. TSNA-TI provides toll road asset maintenance services, including roadway and roadside maintenance, traffic services, vegetation and aesthetics, drainage, bridge maintenance, permit inspection, and emergency response.
Miami-Dade Expressway (MDX)

TSNA-TI is operating and maintaining more than 170 lane miles of expressways and the associated facilities in the Greater Miami area on S.R. 836, 874, 878, 112 and 924 under an asset management contract with the Miami-Dade Expressway Authority (MDX).
The contract includes fence-to-fence routine and preventive maintenance of roadway assets, including five toll plazas, landscaping, as well as maintenance and repair of toll facilities. TSNA-TI is also responsible for bridge inspection and incident/ emergency response in the event of accidents and/or weather-related damages.
TSNA-TI also has full maintenance and custodial responsibilities for the new 20,000 square foot MDX Administrative Building including mechanical, electrical, custodial and janitorial services. TSNA-TI uses a comprehensive program of proactive maintenance to ensure successful management of the MDX facilities.

Tampa-Hillsborough Expressway (THEA)

TSNA-TI performs routine maintenance activities for 110 lane miles of roadway and bridges of the Tampa-Hillsborough Expressway Authority (THEA) system. THEA is composed of four roadway systems: State Road 618 (Selmon Expressway), State Road 618A (Selmon Expressway Reversible Lanes), Meridian Ave, and the Brandon Feeder Roads, which consist of State Road 628 (Brandon Parkway), Brandon Main Street, Pauls Drive Connector and a portion of Lakewood Drive.
TSNA-TI provides all routine maintenance services associated with roadway, structures, drainage, roadside, vegetation and aesthetics, traffic services, and incident management and incident/event restoration.

Primary and Secondary Roadways
FDOT's District One - Polk County

TSNA-TI provides routine operations and maintenance services for the state roads in Polk County, Florida, part of FDOT's District One. This project involves 284 lane miles of US27, SR17 and SR 60. TSNA-TI services include pavement maintenance, guardrail repairs, drainage, traffic services, overhead and roadside signage, vegetation and aesthetics, and emergency response services.
This project began June 1, 2007. The initial contract is for seven years with one or more one-year renewals totaling no more than seven additional years.
FDOT's District Two - Clay County

TSNA-TI provides routine operations and maintenance services for the state roads in Clay County, Florida, part of FDOT's District Two. The project covers 358 lane miles of state roadways in the county. TSNA-TI services include pavement maintenance, guardrail repairs, drainage, traffic services, overhead and roadside signage, vegetation and aesthetics, and emergency response services.
This project began June 1, 2007. The initial contract is for five years with one or more renewals.
FDOT's District Two - Nassau County

TSNA-TI provides routine operations and maintenance services for the state roads in Nassau County, Florida, part of FDOT's District Two. The project covers 350 lane miles of state roadways in the county. TSNA-TI services include pavement maintenance, guardrail repairs, drainage, traffic services, overhead and roadside signage, vegetation and aesthetics, and emergency response services.
This project began June 1, 2007. The initial contract is for five years with one or more renewals.
FDOT's District Three - Chipley Five Counties

TSNA-TI provides routine and preventive maintenance on roadways and facilities throughout the Florida DOT Chipley District’s five-county area. These counties — Gulf, Franklin, Jefferson, Liberty and Wakulla -- are located along Florida’s Panhandle and include rural and urban primary routes and interstate and related facilities. Project assets that TSNA-TI maintains include: 922 lane miles; 271 bridges; streets, sidewalks and landscaping in cities such as Port St. Joe, Apalachicola and Monticello.
This project had a short mobilization period, and TSNA-TI was fully prepared by the start date for implementation. TSNA-TI also manages bridge inspection services as well as continued MOA activity with the cities and counties.
FDOT's District Three - Okaloosa County

TSNA-TI provides routine and preventive maintenance on all interstates and ramps, US routes, state roads, and rights-of-way located in Okaloosa County. This contract also includes State Road 85 from the Okaloosa/Walton County line to the Alabama State line.
TSNA-TI performs routine maintenance activities associated with roadway, drainage, roadside, vegetation and aesthetics, traffic services, and incident management. Project assets that TSNA-TI maintains include: 677 lane miles, 43 bridge structures, and over 80 outfall ditches and canals.
FDOT's District Four - US1/A1A and Bridges
TSNA-TI was awarded the largest asset management project in Florida for the DOT’s District Four. The contract includes full operational responsibility for movable and fixed bridges, as well as routine maintenance activities on the US-1/A1A corridor through St. Lucie, Martin, Palm Beach and Broward Counties.
Throughout the Florida DOT’s District Four, TSNA-TI provides routine and preventive maintenance on roadways and bridges including traffic management, emergency response and permitting. TSNA-TI operates and maintains 38 movable bridges at 29 locations crossing the Intracoastal Waterway, South Fork of the New River and St. Lucie Rivers. There are 15 movable bridge locations in Broward County, 12 movable bridge locations in Palm Beach County, one movable bridge in Martin County and one movable bridge in St. Lucie County.
The TSNA-TI approach to these maintenance functions utilizes innovative remedial, routine, proactive and preventive maintenance strategies to optimize outcomes in order to meet the expectations of the Florida DOT and the traveling public.
FDOT's District Six - Monroe County

TSNA-TI provides routine operations and maintenance services on the state roads in Monroe County, Florida - part of FDOT's District Six. The project covers routine maintenance activities on 332 lane miles of state roadways US1 and A1A through the Florida Keys.
The contract began July 1, 2007. The initial contract is for five years with renewal options.

MDSHA - Maryland 100

TSNA-TI is proud to find a new home in Maryland with the operations and maintenance project for MD 100 in Anne Arundel and Howard Counties. This project for the Maryland State Highway Administration (MDSHA) covers approximately 22 road miles in central Maryland, south of Baltimore.
The project began July 1, 2007 and continues for a period of five years.
North Bay, Ontario, Canada - Ministry of Transportation

Transfield Services was awarded an Area Maintenance Contract for summer and winter maintenance in the North Bay area of Ontario, Canada. The project area covers 2,490 kilometers (1,544 miles) of urban and rural roadways, including sections of Highway 11 and Highway 17, part of the Trans-Canada Highway.
Transfield Services provides summer maintenance, including maintenance of road surface, shoulders, and roadside features; winter maintenance; emergency and incident response; electrical systems maintenance; line painting, including special markings; data collection of selected pavement distresses, traffic, and culverts; selected capital improvements; and facilities maintenance.
The North Bay AMC is part of the Ontario Ministry of Transportation’s effort to move its highway maintenance contracts to a full performance-based contract model. The contract is Transfield Services’ first transport services contract in Canada.
Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, Canada - Ministry of Transportation

Transfield Services was awarded an Area Maintenance Contract for summer and winter maintenance in the Sault Ste. Marie area of Ontario, Canada. The project area covers 1,772 kilometres (1,101 miles) of urban and rural roadways, including sections of Highway 17, part of the Trans-Canada Highway.
Transfield Services provides summer maintenance, including maintenance of road surface, shoulders, and roadside features; winter maintenance; emergency and incident response; electrical systems maintenance; line painting, including special markings; data collection of selected pavement distresses, traffic, and culverts; selected capital improvements; and facilities maintenance.
U.S. 192 in Osceola County - The Gateway to Disney

TSNA-TI provides resort asset management services for Osceola County on West 192, the “Gateway to Disney.”
TSNA-TI supports the Osceola County Beautivacation District and Osceola County in striving to maintain an aesthetically pleasing, safe and efficient system for its local businesses, citizens and visitors.
TSNA-TI services focus on landscaping, litter, janitorial services, and graffiti removal, incident response, traffic management and pavement maintenance. Our Beautivacation project also includes bus facilities, decorative paved sidewalks and benches, overhead sign structures, and guide markers.

Tunnels
AKDOT&PF - Anton Anderson Memorial Tunnel, Whittier, AK

TSNA-TI has operated and maintained the 2.6-mile Anton Anderson Memorial Tunnel, a combination train and vehicle tunnel near Anchorage, Alaska, since 2000.
Services performed include toll collection and administration, train/vehicle passage control, Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) monitoring, computer control system monitoring and all maintenance operations for railway/roadway systems, including snow removal at the tunnel entrances.
TSNA-TI provides initial emergency fire/rescue and EMT responses, and has the distinction of having the only private Fire Brigade in North America. All operations, maintenance and traffic are monitored from the tunnel Master Control Center to insure activities and events are recognized immediately. TSNA-TI also maintains “safe houses” located within the tunnel which are used in the event of a serious delay, accident or fire to protect the safety of the traveling public.
DDOT - D.C. Tunnels

TSNA-TI maintains 17 tunnels on the National Highway System in Washington, D.C. TSNA-TI’s responsibilities include: structural maintenance (ceiling panel and tile cleaning and repair; wall tile cleaning and repair; expansion joint repair/replacement; and grouting); mechanical maintenance (fan bearing, motor, and drive systems maintenance and repair; fire alarm testing and maintenance; deluge system testing, operation and repair; and carbon monoxide system maintenance and repair); electrical maintenance (maintenance and repair of tunnel roadway lighting, including relamping; support room lighting, including emergency lighting; and maintenance and repair of the power system, control system, lane signals, CCTV camera system, emergency phones and variable message signs). TSNA-TI also provides emergency response relating to structural, mechanical, and electrical systems and daily monitoring of tunnel traffic during rush hours.
Under a previous contract from 2000 through 2007, TSNA-TI worked with the DDOT and the FHWA to operate and maintain the National Highway System roadways in Washington, D.C. The work included routine maintenance and restoration work, as well as rehabilitation of nine tunnels.
FDOT's District Four - US1/A1A and Bridges

Under a seven-year contract with Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) District 4 to maintain US1 and A1A, TSNA-TI maintains the Henry E. Kinney Tunnel under the New River in Ft. Lauderdale. This 4-lane, 864 foot tunnel is one of only three in the Sunshine State.
TSNA-TI is responsible for cleaning the 92,000 square foot tunnel (walls, pits, gutters, and headwalls) ten times per year and polish the tunnel nine times per year. In addition, TSNA-TI is responsible for inspections of the mechanical systems of the tunnel including generators and generator transfer systems, ventilation fans, lighting systems, grounding systems, major power feeders, electrical safety, codes, and switch boards, and the pump control system.

Canals
FDOT's District Five - Nova Canal
TSNA-TI has responsibilities in Florida's District Five to clean and maintain the 7.45 mile Nova Canal in Volusia County. This three-year performance-based contract includes top-of-bank to top-of-bank maintenance including the water surface area and the connecting culverts. A connecting culvert is the structural drainage connection between segments of the canal. Connecting culverts may be pipes, concrete boxes, pipe arches or bridges.

Movable Bridges
FDOT's District Four - US1/A1A and Bridges

FDOT's District Five - Movable Bridges

TSNA-TI was awarded the first performance-based contract of its kind for movable bridges in 2003. This project has not only been a success but has served as the model for future performance-based movable bridge contracts. TSNA-TI won a second seven-year contract in 2010 to continue providing routine, preventive and major maintenance of electrical, mechanical and structural components on the eight movable bridges and 22 fender locations located within the Florida DOT’s District Five.
Services provided include bridge tending and annual and biennial bridge inspection services. TSNA-TI is the first responder to incidents and holds the risk of repairs, up to replacement, of structure damage due to accident or weather. We are also responsible for emergency response and traffic management during events such as hurricanes.
On Saturday, December 13, 2003, at 9:40 a.m., a commercial shrimp fishing boatdrifted into the east approach spans causing the vessels outriggers to get caught in the bridge tender house utilities mounted under the north sidewalk. When the vessel pulled away from the bridge it pulled all of the utilities with it from the tender house all the way down to the east Abutment. Approximately 20 utility hangers were broken off. Approximately 120 feet of copper water line was destroyed and 100 feet of four-inch PVC sewer line was destroyed. The copper 4 ott grounding wiring was broken and displaced at several locations throughout the length of the east approach span. The electrical conduit at the east abutment has been broken at several locations.
TSNA-TI and its subcontractor personnel repaired the sewer line, water line, and grounding system the same day as the incident occurred, with the final repairs at the east abutment completed by Monday, December 15, 2003.

Facilities
AKDOT&PF - Anton Anderson Memorial Tunnel, Whittier, AK

TSNA-TI operates and maintains the 2.6 mile Anton Anderson Memorial Tunnel, a single-bore multi-modal train and vehicle tunnel in Whittier, Alaska. Services performed for the AKDOT&PF include toll collection and administration and bi-directional train/vehicle passage control.
TSNA-TI is also responsible for preventive and routine maintenance and operations for the tunnel system including maintaining, programming, calibrating, repair and replacement of SCADA communications, digital and analog telephony, and HVAC environmental control systems.
Additional responsibilities include the repair of industrial, mechanical and electrical equipment to include diesel powered stationary and mobile heavy equipment, on-site fore and rescue functions, emergency power, electrical distribution, and tunnel ventilation equipment.
