In addition to our significant outreach efforts to local contractors, TSNA-TI provides skill, safety and business training to small, minority and women-owned businesses and DBE, WBE, SBE and SWAM firms.
TDD Moore started out as a small mowing contractor for our Osceola County project. During the 2004 hurricane season, TSNA-TI called on TDD Moore to supplement restoration efforts and they performed exceptionally. They are now working on several other TSNA-TI Florida projects coast-to-coast and have recived their DBE certification with the Florida Department of Transportation. Through the relationship with TSNA-TI, TDD Moore has been able to grow their company to an unexpected level.
Contracting Opportunities
TSNA-TI creates opportunities for businesses by using contractors to provide labor, materials, and equipment. Local contractors perform as much as 80 percent of the work for which TSNA-TI is responsible. TSNA-TI promotes and delivers an open, fair, and inclusive bidding process for contract awards.
Our subcontracts vary from small, routine maintenance and repair work to highly complex jobs requiring specialized equipment and substantial experience. Contracts are prepared based upon need, complexity, contractor experience, as well as availability.
TSNA-TI is committed to utilizing contractors who are a part of the local community. We strive to develop local contractors with relevant skills and interests. This permits mutually beneficial relationships that allow efficient delivery of services to our clients and ultimately, to the users of the facilities.
