Contractor Training Opportunities
TSNA-TI is proud of our aggressive approach to contractor development. In order to establish a viable contractor base, TSNA-TI operates contractor mentoring and outreach programs for contractors. We provide training for small, minority-owned, and women-owned businesses. Firms trained by, and experienced working with, TSNA-TI can expand their business horizons using the knowledge and skills acquired in these training sessions.
TSNA-TI training sessions can include classroom instruction followed by direct field experience supervised by a TSNA-TI contract inspector. Subjects such as traffic control, appropriate safety measures, and contract bidding and estimating procedures are covered in training sessions. Topics for training sessions have included sign repair and installation, paved ditch cleaning, litter removal, fence repair, selective tree removal, and snow and ice control.
